We Preach Jesus!

Electra Adams  We are in a time when truth is on trial. Opinions, opinions, opinions!   As the revealing of biblical truths is in the earth, so is the beginning of the days of a famine for the Word of God. Just who is preaching whole truth, many are asking? This is just another sign of the end of an age. Many find no shame in marching animals down the aisles of their churches to have them blessed at the altar. Some insist on blessing rocks, angel statues, and even dirt. They decree that God is in everything and is everywhere. They quote, “Everything is God.”
Recently, I have had several to come to me and ask for blessings upon their relationships as in “shacking and common law.” I do not pray for those who live together unmarried as a couple. I thought that their logic was appalling, to ask God to violate His law. Favor might not be fair, we are under grace, but God will always operate under righteousness.  Matthew 24: 37- 38…But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark….  One might define giving in marriage as our modern day term, shacking.  The very term shack defines a building very void of beauty, grace or poise. Marriage is honorable before God; it holds a standard requiring His blessings.
We must preach Christ, who in His first coming was born in a manger, but in His second coming will come to rule the world. In His first coming, He came in humility. In His second coming, He will come with power and great glory! In His first coming, He hung on a cross. In His second coming, He will be sitting on the throne of judgment. In His first coming, Christ was the sacrifice – the slain Lamb Of God. In His second coming, He is coming as the Supreme judge of the universe. In His first coming, they mocked Him and dragged Him through the streets of Jerusalem, but when He comes again He will condemn the blasphemers, the heretics, the persecutors of the Christians, and who denied His name. In His first coming, He was forced to bow His head. In His second coming, every knee will bow and every tongue will confess the glory of God!  Therefore, we preach Jesus the Christ; not ourselves or our opinion, nor what we believe to be good or evil, but The Christ! The uncompromised nor diluted, Son of the Living God! Part two on another day.
