  • AFTER HOURS at the BMA

Today is the Opening Night of the HESTER BATEMAN: SETTING THE TABLE FOR FEMALE ENTERPRISE at the Birmingham Museum of Art.  Check out the various events starting…5-9 p.m. with the Open Galleries, Tapa and Cocktails, at 6 p.m. Curator-Led Gallery Tour, 6:30 Drop-In and Draw, and 7 p.m. wine tasting, live music by SANDERS BOHIKE and the film screening of the lifestyles of the 18th century elite in THE DUCHESS, starring Keira Knightley.  Enjoy this and more at the Birmingham Museum of Art downtown.

  1. JUNE 13 – CELEBRATE CARIBBEAN AMEICAN HERITAGE MONTH – The Birmingham Barons in conjunction with Central Alabama Caribbean American Organization (CACAO) will bring the sights and sounds of the Caribbean to Regions Field on June 13th when they present a mini-carnival in recognition of Caribbean American Heritage Month and the growing Caribbean community in the City of Birmingham.  (Look for more right here, soon)
  2. JUNE 19 – CALLING ALL MINORITY CONTRACTORS  – B.L. Harbert International will host a Meet and Greet at the Westin Hotel, in Birmingham, AL, for minority contractors, held from 3 -7 p.m.  The meeting is purportedly for minority contractors and subcontractors.  B.L. Harbert International, along with our Subcontractors already under subcontract, can meet and engage with BCIA Certified Businesses and other specialty contractors in the City of Birmingham.  If minority contractors or subcontractors are interested in future work with B.L.
