BIRMINGHAM – Brown Mackie College-Birmingham, in conjunction with 106.9 The Eagle, is sponsoring the inaugural Homewood Rib Run to benefit Lakeshore Foundation. The event will be held November 1, beginning at 8:30 a.m.
This one-of-a-kind event is a 5K run where participants stop approximately every mile to enjoy a single delicious rib from Demetri’s BBQ, Jim N’ Nick’s Bar-B-Q, and Bob Sykes BarB-Q. The start and finish lines will be at Homewood City Hall.
As an added bonus, anyone who participated in the 2013 or 2014 Birmingham Krispy Kreme Doughnut Dash as either a challenger or casual runner will receive an Iron Stomach Medal upon completion of the 2014 Homewood Rib Run.
