Some days are better than others. We asked Birmingham-area residents, when you’re not in the best of moods, Who and what makes you happy?

Christina Pipkin

Christina Pipkin: “I like to spend time with my family, especially my niece when I’m not in the best of moods. She is almost four years old and she brings so much joy into my life. She is just a big ball of energy and my mood just brightens up anytime I see her.”

Reagan Cline

Reagan Cline: “I like to go outside and take a walk and just admire nature, if I’m in a foul mood. It’s very soothing and relaxing. It distracts me from what is making me unhappy and the calmness and serenity of it just puts me in a better mood.”

Linda Cline

Linda Cline: “I like to take my dog for a walk when I’m in a bad mood. She’s always crazy and in a good mood and as the saying goes ‘a dog is man’s best friend’ so I just love to spend time with my dog and play with her. It uplifts my mood every time.”

Brandy Cupp

Brandy Cupp: “My friends cheer me up when I’m down because they always know the right thing to say to turn my mood around. They’re always positive and they know me like no one else and . . . they’re great when I need a pick-me-up.”
