Birmingham’s own Sebastian “Pynk Beard” Kole will make his national television debut on Tuesday, July 21, on the popular NBC show America’s Got Talent.
After spending years behind the scenes writing hits for other artists, Kole ventured into country music — a long-time passion of his — under the persona “Pynk Beard.”
The Grammy-winning songwriter’s catalog includes major successes such as Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful,” and in 2025, he earned his third Grammy for his contributions as a songwriter on the Alicia Keys project “Hell’s Kitchen” for Best Musical Theater Album. Most recently, Kole landed a 2026 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics for the song “The Devil You Know” from Spider-Noir.
But, as Pynk Beard, the man behind the hits can finally take center stage. He has shared that he long believed he had missed his moment as a performer, feeling he was “too old” to audition for a show like AGT. Now, he’s ready to show that his years of experience make sound as fresh as it is authentic.
