MONTGOMERY, Ala.—The Heritage Sports Radio Network (HSRN) released its 2013 All America Team and three members of the Alabama State Hornets were named.
Senior center Edmond Davis received the honor after leading the Hornets’ offensive line as they worked their way into not only the top rushing team in the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) but the nation as well, rushing for over 2,800 yards while averaging 235.5 yards rushing per game.
Bobby Wenzig added another honor to his long list of pre- and post-season honors with his mention. The senior kicker has been one of the top kickers and punters in the SWAC during his career at ASU and finished his career with team records in punts and punt yardage. He also was also one of only four ASU players to finish their career with over 200 career points.
Junior running back Isaiah Crowell also received mention. He rushed for over 1,100 yards this season and also rushed for 15 scores while averaging 6.6 yards per carry.
