The Alabama State women’s and men’s indoor track & field teams held a practice session Monday afternoon on the campus of Alabama State in preparation for the Birmingham Southern Icebreaker meet Friday, Dec.6th at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.
The Lady Hornets will look to continue their winning ways during this Indoor season, by trying to capture their ninth overall championship, as the men will look to improve from a seventh place finish from last season.
“I really liked what I saw today,” said head coach Ritchie Beene,”We had some positive things during this workout”.
As in other sports, Beene and his assistant coaches will assess where both programs are and make changes in preparation for the season opener.
“I have a few concerns from today’s practice but, overall they all should be worked out and improved upon, prior to the meet on Friday,” said Beene.
