We are a weekly newspaper published on Thursday each week. All legal notices should be submitted in Microsoft WORD or a plain text format to: classifieds@birminghamtimes.com. You are free to copy Sam Martin (smartin@birminghamtimes.com) if you would like to ensure that your legal is addressed.
We charge $4.40 per line per insertion. You should expect to get 7 to 8 words per line. We typically provide a cost estimate based on the number of words in the notice and finalize billing once the notice has been published. If your notice requires formatting, such as headlines or spacing, it will impact the cost of the legal notice.
All ads run in the print edition (which is a mix of paid “USPS, newsstands, and racks” and free distribution, primarily distributed in Jefferson County), post on our website: www.birminghamtimes.com, and post on the state legals website: www.alabamapublicnotices.com.
Our deadline is the close of business on Friday of the week prior; however, if necessary, we will accommodate legal notice submission on the Monday of the week of publication.
You should spell out:
- Name of company/submitter
- Billing address and contact/(attn to:)
- Number of insertions
- If an affidavit is required (whether you need it digitally in addition to a physical copy)
All legal notices are invoiced, attested to, and mailed after the last insertion is printed.
