The nationwide tour hits 10 major markets for its initial run, with more dates to be announced, in honoring GRAMMY® Award winning Gospel music legend Andraé Crouch.  Crouch, who is widely recognized as the Father Of Modern Gospel, recently fell ill which led to the postponement of the tour’s initial run.

Crouch’s twin sister Sandra Crouch echoes: “We are overwhelmed by the cards, calls and prayers that have come from all around the world and ask that you continue to keep my brother in your prayers.”
Says Luther “Mano” Hanes, CEO/President of Riverphlo Entertainment and tour producer:  “I am excited to be able to move forward with the vision God has given me to bring together artists that not just know the music of Andraé Crouch but were a part of the legacy of Andraé Crouch.  We believe that this tour will for some remind them of some of the most powerful songs ever written and for others introduce them to the person that not only changed my life but also on whose shoulders a lot of the success and universal appeal of Gospel Music rests.”

The “Let the Church Say Amen” Celebration Tour will make stops in: Birmingham, Charlotte, Atlanta, Orlando, Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, Richmond, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.
Produced by Riverphlo Entertainment (Mano Hanes), the “Let The Church Say Amen” Celebration Tour pays homage to the living legend’s illustrious career spanning over five decades. With seven Grammy Awards, six GMA Dove Awards and an Academy Award nomination for The Color Purple, Andraé is a highly respected member of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Andraé’s songs have been recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley to Paul Simon, and he has worked as a producer and arranger with many of music’s top artists, including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Quincy Jones, Diana Ross, Elton John, and many others. Joseph Made Ruler

And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, In my dream, behold, I stood upon the bank of the river:
And, behold, there came up out of the river seven kine, fatfleshed and well favoured; and they fed in a meadow:  And, behold, seven other kine came up after them, poor and very ill favoured and leanfleshed, such as I never saw in all the land of Egypt for badness:
And the lean and the ill favoured kine did eat up the first seven fat kine:
And when they had eaten them up, it could not be known that they had eaten them; but they were still ill favoured, as at the beginning. So I awoke.
And I saw in my dream, and, behold, seven ears came up in one stalk, full and good:  And, behold, seven ears, withered, thin, and blasted with the east wind, sprung up after them:  And the thin ears devoured the seven good ears: and I told this unto the magicians; but there was none that could declare it to me.
And Joseph said unto Pharaoh, The dream of Pharaoh is one: God hath shewed Pharaoh what he is about to do.
The seven good kine are seven years; and the seven good ears are seven years: the dream is one.
And the seven thin and ill favoured kine that came up after them are seven years; and the seven empty ears blasted with the east wind shall be seven years of famine.
This is the thing which I have spoken unto Pharaoh: What God is about to do he sheweth unto Pharaoh.
Behold, there come seven years of great plenty throughout all the land of Egypt:  And there shall arise after them seven years of famine; and all the plenty shall be forgotten in the land of Egypt; and the famine shall consume the land;
And the plenty shall not be known in the land by reason of that famine following; for it shall be very grievous.
And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
Now therefore let Pharaoh look out a man discreet and wise, and set him over the land of Egypt.  Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.
And let them gather all the food of those good years that come, and lay up corn under the hand of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities.
And that food shall be for store to the land against the seven years of famine, which shall be in the land of Egypt; that the land perish not through the famine.  And the thing was good in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of all his servants.  And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?
And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:
Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.

The Dispensation of the Law From Mt. Sinai to Mt. Calvary

… Fear ye not, stand still,
and see the salvation of the Lord …
Exodus 14:13b

Happy New Year, Dear Readers! Another one has come and gone. The Lord has granted us this moment in time to rejoice and know that He “does all things well” (Mark 7:27). We can take no credit for the good that God does on our behalf. All honor and glory belongs to Him. We must remember that “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). So in the coming days, when the world systems are crumbling around us, and with our own country threatened on every side with evil, not only from without, but from within – our God is still commanding this ship and He can do no wrong. He will prevail and we will arrive safely Home if we know Him in full pardon of sin.
In 2015, we will continue to explore the Dispensations. Following “Promise” came the Dispensation of the Law, which covers an immense amount of space and time, from the giving of the law at Mt. Sinai to the death of Christ at Mt. Calvary. God has miraculously led his children with that pillar of cloud in the daylight hours and the pillar of fire in the darkest night. Can you imagine their comfort levels knowing that those “pillars” were a wall of defensive protection between them and Egypt’s armies? God rolled back the waters of the Red Sea so they could kick up a little powdery dust as they safely tramped to the other side.
Does that boggle your mind? That’s okay, because our Creator God has already done matchless wonders with the Creation of Heaven and Earth, and we have never ceased to be amazed at that. He has already taken the Children through the fires and the flood as only He could do. He has already given them the warrior’s armor which they would use time and again across this Dispensation of the Law.
And to us of the Church Age, He has given Ephesians 6:12-13. “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to
stand …. ” Keep reading to the end of the chapter and receive your spiritual armor for the journey.
God has made a way of escape for Israel (Exodus 15:11-21). They are now in the shadow of Sinai, camped, being organized into a great Nation. God intervenes, bringing them out of bondage and into freedom. Israel’s national history begins as God gives the Commandments, Judgments, and Ordinances of which giving the Law at Sinai is an important part.
The Law teaches them how to approach a Holy God with sacrificial offering, and it gives them an understanding of the “Blood.” The people are required to listen to the awesome thundering voice of God. They are fearful and begged Moses: “… let not God speak with us, lest we die” (Exodus 20).
We of the Church Age, the Dispensation of Grace, must be thankful to a Holy God for allowing us to be born in such a time as this, for our Redeemer has come, and we have been set free from the bondage of the Law, from the bondage of sin and shame, and we can come boldly to the throne of grace without Abraham, without Isaac, without Jacob, and without Moses. Our Intercessor gives us that right and privilege because the Law has been nailed to the Tree. God’s Word is from His mouth to our ears because of Calvary, and in the name of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and through the power of the Holy Spirit, we come boldly to that throne.
Next time, we will cover the last half of the Dispensation of the Law in a nutshell. Until then, I pray God’s richest blessings for a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

‘Preachers’ Exes’ Looking for a Reality Show Pickup

0

preachers-exes-photoBy EURweb.com

A group of women have gotten together for a common goal, but they didn’t start a book club!
Instead they call themselves “Preachers’ Exes” and are shopping around for their reality TV series to be picked up.
The show was inspired by the book, “3PM: The Preacher. The Power. The Penis & Me,” written by executive producer Cheron K. Griffin.
The pilot will showcase how “most churches have mess from the pulpit to the pew.”
And the show will feature Griffin with other former preachers’ exes: Lynn Littlejohn, Ysidra Kyles, Rochelle Mudd, Chinaza Duson and DiShan Winters. But the names of the preachers they were married to are not disclosed.
“America has been afraid to deal with the issues of the pastor and those who have been involved with the pastor,” reads the show’s description on Facebook.
The exes will tackle many issues they have faced while married to their husbands: infertility, miscarriages, cheating and a marriage to a gay preacher. The pilot features typical reality TV confrontations while these women celebrate being free, battle their demons and ask God for forgiveness.

The Old Man
Many believers do not understand the Adamic nature that every born again believer has to contend with, that is why the Word of God teaches every believer to do not be conformed to the pattern of this world; be transformed by the renewing of the mind, as Romans 12:1-2 clearly states.
The renewing of the mind is a process, and it happens as one gives himself to the obedience of the Word of God. Joshua 1:8 points out how to get started, and Jesus points out in Luke 9:23, he who chooses to follow Jesus, obeys Scripture. Ephesians 4:22 says the old man is corrupt. After Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, he fell from light to darkness, and oh what a fall, and every person born, since that time was born with a sinful nature. When one accepts Jesus he receives a regenerated spirit, then he/she becomes a new creation in Christ Jesus. II Corinthians 5:17 says, “If any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things become new. Now is the time to accept Jesus as your everlasting Saviour. AMEN!

GlobalGrind will anchor a new Millennials channel for Interactive One (iOne), made up of more than a dozen sites that target this demographic, including Stuff Fly People Like. During the last year, iOne has collectively shown impressive growth in reach (+145 percent to 33 million unique visitors per month).
Focusing on Hip-Pop!, GlobalGrind is an all-encompassing destination that covers the “Hip” side of Pop culture across multiple verticals – Entertainment, Celebrity, Music, Style and Fashion, Culture, News and Politics.  GlobalGrind provides a platform for an active cross-cultural audience of influencers to consume and interact with compelling content and unique digital experiences.
“This acquisition, which perfectly aligns with our existing multimedia brands, allows us to exponentially fast track our Millennial channel expansion strategy by leveraging GlobalGrind’s highly-regarded content,” said Alfred Liggins, president and CEO of iOne parent company Radio One, Inc.
This acquisition comes on the heels of iOne’s existing sales, content, technology, product and marketing partnership with GlobalGrind which began in April 2013. Since this partnership began, GlobalGrind.com’s reach has grown approximately 60 percent (rising from 2.5 million unique visitors per month in August 2013 to a projected 4.1 million in December 2014).
Following this acquisition, GlobalGrind Founder Russell Simmons and co-President Michael Skolnik will remain actively involved, with Skolnik staying on board as editor-in-chief.
Noted Mr. Simmons, “I have been very proud of the care Interactive One has given my baby under our partnership to date, and am extremely excited to be contributing my points of view on trends and issues of utmost importance within the community, particularly social justice. GlobalGrind will continue to be a pop culture tastemaker and voice for the hip-hop generation.”
Added Mr. Skolnik: “Having worked closely with Alfred, Tom and the entire Interactive One family, I look forward to this new chapter as we collectively look to expand iOne’s coverage in the areas that matter most to our audience, and to do so while working closely with our new colleagues across the organization.”
Stated iOne President Tom Newman, “Having had the opportunity to already work closely with the GlobalGrind team during the last two years, we have a very clear understanding of how to take this wonderful brand to the next level while holding on to the aspects that have made it the powerhouse it is today with its Millennial audience.”  He added, “GlobalGrind, in addition to bolstering our presence in the digital media space, nicely complements our flagship properties, including HelloBeautiful, TheUrbanDaily and NewsOne, with more to come in 2015.”

Idris Elba on Bond Rumors: “Isn’t 007 Suppose To Be Handsome?”

0

idris_elba 2By Jillian Bowe

Idris Elba finally answered those wondering if he’s up to snuff to play the next James Bond. Buzz surrounding Elba slipping into the role started to re-surface once, leaked e-mails from Sony Pictures Entertainment Co-chairwoman Amy Pascal revealed she wants him as the next 007 once Daniel Craig is done portraying him in the hit movie franchise. For years, rumors started flying and fan support mounted in favor of the British actor to play the sexy secret agent, with Elba himself saying in a Reddit AMA a few months back he’d love taking on the job if given the chance.
Now, Elba has addressed the speculations on Saturday via Twitter remarking, Isn’t 007 supposed to handsome? Glad you think I’ve got a shot! Happy New year people.
Well played, sir! The rebuttal comes on the heels of Conservative pundit Rush Limbaugh losing his hair (what’s left of it anyways) over the thought of Elba playing Bond. According to Limbaugh’s logic, Elba simply can’t and shouldn’t play the iconic character because Bond is “white and Scottish.” Limbaugh stated:
James Bond is a total concept put together by Ian Fleming. He was white and Scottish. Period. That is who James Bond is. But now [they are] suggesting that the next James Bond should be Idris Elba, a Black Briton, rather than a white from Scotland. But that’s not who James Bond is. But that’s not who James Bond is and I know it’s racist to probably point this out.
Boy hush with that madness. The next Bond flick, Spectre is slated for release on Nov. 6, 2015 featuring Craig.
