Yates was unanimously elected to a second three year term as General President of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA.
Yates, the 13th President and the sixth leader from the State of Florida to serve as General President of this national organization since its inception, is the Pastor of Zion Hope Primitive Baptist Church, Pensacola, Florida.

“I feel the delegation spoke loudly as Elder Yates was unopposed in the Nomination Process for a second three year term. Under his continued leadership, we look forward to a productive, spirit filled vision and his expressions of love for God’s people,” stated Deacon Harold Batts of Huntsville, Alabama, newly elected President of the Church School Congress and Chairman of the Publishing Board of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA.

A native of Mobile, Alabama, President Yates is a product of Bishop College, Dallas, Texas and he received the Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry from Liberty Theological Seminary.
He is married to the former Vonda Allen and they have one daughter, LeBrea.
