A former pro dancer who still hosts daily dancing and keep fit lessons is preparing to show off her best moves – for her 101st birthday.

Grandmother-of-four Dinkie Flowers reaches her latest milestone on Saturday (May 7) and will be celebrating the only way she knows how – with a good old boogie.

Dinkie started dancing at the age of three and has traveled the world to showcase her skills, including Baghdad to dance in front of the Iraqi Royal Family.

The mother-of-one from Shoreham-by-Sea, Sussex, says she will never stop dancing “until they take me away in a box”.

Dinkie, who was once the only British acrobatic skater, has been teaching dance and keep fit classes all her life and still practices her barre movements every morning.

The exuberant dancer said: “I just love dancing. I always have and I always will since I was three years old.

“Ballet, tap, modern, I cannot get enough of it.

“If I had one piece of advice for people it would be to get off your bottoms and dance.

“It does not matter how old you are. You could be 30 or 100 but as long as you have the movement you are fit and well.”

Dinkie learned her skills at London’s Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts and went on to ice skate all over the world with celebrity Tom Arnold, where she featured on Holiday on Ice and Hello Ice.

From getting arrested in 1940s Paris for wearing a red playsuit – the color associated with illegal prostitution at the time – to perform for Prince Philip at an Ice Gala in 1952, Dinkie really has danced her way through the stages of her life.

Her best friend Lesley, who has known Dinkie for 40 years, added: “She is an absolutely amazing lady and an inspiration for people to keep moving and exercising.

“She takes no medication, has no hearing aids, no glasses and her posture is incredible.

“I do not know anyone else like her and despite being friends for such a long time, I still cannot believe what she can do”.

She also traveled to Iraq to teach the royal family ice skating through the British embassy, but miscommunication nearly resulted in the dancer being forced to stay.

Lesley added: “They wanted to teach them (Iraqi royal family) about refrigeration.

”Dinkie was one of the leading people – and they built an ice rink for the royal family In Iraq.

“Dinkie taught the prince and was there for a few months.

“When it was time to go, some sheik who bought the rink thought she came with it.

“He thought he’d bought the rink and that little dolly Dinkie came with it.”

Upon their return from her global travels, Dinkie decided she wanted to pursue dancing and set up her own successful dance school called Dinkie Flowers Stage School, in Shoreham.

At just 98 years young, Dinkie made her TV debut tap-dancing her way through the auditions to appear on The Greatest Dancer.

Dinkie went on to marry her husband George, who managed the famous Raymond Revuebar in London, but he sadly passed away in 2005.

The couple had a daughter Sarah, who followed in her mother’s footsteps as a professional dancer, and four grandchildren.

Lesley has organized a big party at the end of the month to celebrate Dinkie’s special birthday. She added: “It will be a reunion and celebration of her life with all of her memorabilia.

“She will also be joining iStar, the British rhythmic gymnastics group, onstage in their performance of The Greatest Showman.

“Dinkie is always the last one on the dance floor – and that is something that will never change.”

Civil Rights Attorney Seeks Retribution For Shooting Victim Left Paralyzed By Police Officer

Jarrett Adams' track record speaks for itself when it comes to fighting for civil rights. (Jarrett Adams/Zenger)

By Percy Lovell Crawford

Some of the stories that come across the desk of civil rights attorney Jarrett Adams can be both heartbreaking and infuriating. However, he understands the task at hand and is fully committed to seeking justice for those who have been wronged.

This focus comes from firsthand experience. An innocent man convicted of a crime he did not commit, Adams had to learn the law to free himself. He subsequently got his juris doctorate from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

Adams’ track record since then speaks for itself. He is currently working on three high-profile cases, all of which appear to involve either rogue cops or inadequate police training. Helping his clients obtain compensation and special damages in each case is his top priority.

Case in point: Raheem Bryant was shot in the back and left paralyzed by a Newark, New Jersey police officer after joyriding in a stolen car. Adams spoke to Zenger to explain why Officer Xavier Pimentel’s response didn’t fit the crime. Adams also takes us behind the scenes on two other cases he recently signed on to represent victims of questionable treatment.

Zenger: You recently took on the case of Raheem Bryant who was shot and paralyzed by a Newark police officer. What are the key factors that led to you accepting the case?

Adams: You really gotta evaluate the client and the case. And it goes in that order, because you could have a good case and a bad client, and it can not go well. I take it from that perspective first. When I get a case and I start to read everything, I start to [learn about] the atmosphere of Newark. Stealing cars is like skateboarding down in Louisiana. Stealing cars is like playing off the wall on the south side of Chicago.

That’s just what they do. There is no explanation. It’s the stolen car, joyriding capital of the world. You have a situation with a kid in his early 20s: he sees a lady at a gas station, and he sees the keys in the car; he jumps in the car and takes a joyride in it.

She is mad and upset. She tells an officer, “I just got carjacked.” When you hear carjacked, you’re thinking guns and all that. He wasn’t armed. He was on this joyride, police were…in pursuit and an officer who was technically on but off duty — because in the city of Newark, whenever there is construction work being done, they have to have an officer there to direct traffic.

Little did they know that they were going to have a cowboy that day on that assignment who was listening to his radio. Guess he became bored sitting there. He joins in on the chase unwarranted and unqualified. He gets out of his vehicle, races down the block. He’s the only one [who] deploys and fires his weapon, Percy. He pulls his gun, he fires a shot and he hits the kid in the back. The kid is instantly paralyzed, he loses control of the car and it crashes into an auto-mechanic’s shop.

Raheem Bryant, who was shot and paralyzed by a Newark police officer, is seeking the help of famed civil rights attorney Jarrett Adams. (Jarrett Adams/Zenger)

I tell you all of this in the way of [a] story, but the DOJ [Department of Justice] did an investigation 4 years prior, and they came out with these results and findings, and they entered into a consent decree where officers would no longer fire at fleeing suspects, no matter if the suspects are armed or not. They aren’t in danger. He wasn’t in danger. The kid was driving away from the officer. The officer got mad and fired a shot that paralyzed him.

We looked at his record. The officer didn’t have [the training] that’s necessary, and he had been in an incident before where he pulled his gun out unwarranted. We got a situation where this kid is paralyzed, and I don’t have to tell you that [state-run] physical therapy places that take care of people that don’t have active limbs — I don’t have to tell you what type of care they give. I didn’t want to send you the pictures, but I have some pictures if you want to see them. He’s developing bed sores that are so humungous, I’m just waiting for a call any day now that he’s fighting for his life from an infection.

Zenger: What do you say to someone that asks why reward someone committing a criminal act?

Adams: Stealing a piece of candy is a criminal act. That’s breaking the law. Does that person deserve to be shot in the back and paralyzed for a non-violent criminal act, and they weren’t armed? In law, we can only deal with the facts and the facts surrounding that law.

Zenger: Do you feel like this was a rogue cop situation, a lack of training or combination of the two?

Adams: It’s a combination of both. What I would say specifically with him [is] there were signs that he was a cowboy that needed to be disciplined and trained, and he wasn’t. What happens when you don’t tell your child they are doing something wrong? They are prone to do it again. That’s why this is on the city. The thing that’s frustrating me is they are out here talking a good game about how much they’ve changed and how good they are now. But you got this boy sitting here, in his 20s with a son, and he can’t do anything, and they are up here trying to dismiss the case on a technicality.

Now every process is slow. We survived the motion to dismiss. The court said there is too much evidence to dismiss; move forward. Now I’m trying to get them to do what’s right. In this case, I’m afraid for him. It’s getting dire.

Zenger: In your opinion, what is proper compensation or retribution for Raheem and his family?

Adams: There has to be a creative structured settlement for him. I’m afraid to put a dollar amount on it until we have a serious conversation about what it would take [in exchange] for the life of a young man, who will be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He’s in his 20s, so if the life expectancy is 60-65 years old — [and] he’s got a kid — so you’re talking about him being taken care of for at least 40 years. Being taken care of means the proper bed, the proper nurse care facility, the proper disability ramps and things like that. And then you have to factor in his son. Something fair and equitable to that. But the problem is they haven’t [provided] a number or [made an] effort to settle this. They are fighting every step of the way to keep certain evidence away from us.

Zenger: This is not the only case you are working on. Can you tell us about some of the other ones?

Adams: Yes, there is a young lady named Chasity Congious. She was pregnant by someone — they don’t know who because due to her mental illness, she would sometimes walk around the neighborhood undressed. Bruh, we got a lot of sickos out here, man. She ends up pregnant. She’s about six months pregnant. When she’s not on her medication, she [will] spazz out and do things, mostly self-harm. Her parents called and said, “Look, she’s not taking her medication. She’s being difficult to deal with. She’s fighting, kicking and biting while we’re trying to get her to the hospital, so she can get on her medication.” Sure enough, this officer comes, and where he probably would have found sympathy if her name was Amanda, he could find none because her name was Chasity.

Instead of taking her to the hospital and getting her on medication and getting her to a facility knowing that she was pregnant, he decides to arrest her. He arrested her like they do so many black kids, and increasingly, black girls. She goes to the county jail. She is not seen by any proper authorities or a court to evaluate her according to the Sandra Bland Act. Here it is: after the Sandra Bland Act, how could this happen? Sandra Bland with her mental illness in jail, and then here it is — you let this girl sit in jail. She goes on a visit with the doctors. The doctors tell you, “She’s about to give birth. She’s not going to be able to communicate with you guys what a contraction is. You gotta pay attention to her.”

She has been in jail for a couple of months now. What do they do, Percy? They put her in a segregation room, that’s what they do. One day, they walk past and notice blood all over the bed sheets and on the floor. They come in. They find the baby [lying] in her jail uniform with the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck. [It] hadn’t been breathing for four or five minutes. Chasity [lay] there, busted open as a woman from giving birth — she had never given birth before. You know what their response was? “Well, she didn’t tell anybody. We don’t know why she didn’t get up and knock on the door. We pass and do checks all the time; we didn’t see this.” That’s not what you do when someone warned you [that she] has a mental illness and wouldn’t be able to tell you.

To add to the madness, she asked to go to the funeral. They told her no and [said] they were going to charge her with the death of the baby for not telling them that she was giving birth. Thankfully, after enough media coverage, they dismissed the charges, and she was released from jail on all charges. So [are] you telling me that that baby shouldn’t be alive because she shouldn’t have been in there that long [or] even arrested in the first place? These explanations aren’t good enough anymore. The medical personnel told you that this young girl would not be able to communicate that she was in labor…. I think that that deserves a higher burden to be met than to place somebody [in] segregation.

Civil rights attorney Jarrett Adams is currently working on three cases of injustice involving inadequate police departments. (Jarrett Adams/Zenger)

Zenger: You also have another case down in my area of New Orleans, correct?

Adams: Yes! They beat the hell out of this man. When I tell you this story — this is only some stuff that a white person could get away with. Two off-duty officers were in a bar. They [got] so hammered that the bartender stopped serving them drinks. She’s serving them shots of water so that they [can] get out of there.

My client, Jorge Gomez, he’s a retired vet who moved to the New Orleans community to care for his mom. His mom had gotten old, was battling dementia, and was falling and things like that. English is not his first language. So he’s finishing up a drink [at] the bar. The bartender knows him because he goes in the bar all the time. When his mom winds down for the evening, he will go there and have a drink. I know you will understand this, being from there: it’s not just vets; people in the community wear army fatigues. He just so happens [to] have on an army fatigue jacket, but it was real. Dude was a gunner in Iraq. He was the real deal. That’s an important part [of] the story, the fact that he was in the military.

These two knuckleheads — they ask him, basically, “What you doing false flagging us?” He said, “What? I don’t understand what you’re saying.” And they were like, “You’re not a damn marine.” They started asking him questions about the service to see if he’s been in service or not. He’s just ignoring them. They snatch the beret off of his head and start a fight. They beat the dude up.

You [can] see the pictures online of how bad they beat him up. He gets in the vehicle, and he’s disoriented. He’s driving…away [to] get home; they’re walking down the block he’s driving down. They see him, they get in front of the car, order him to stop, he gets out, they beat the hell out of him and place him under arrest. They [call] in, and when they [call] in the police, they [give] a special code. When they gave the special code, [police] responded saying, “Officer in need.” They didn’t know that the officer wasn’t in need — the officer just beat the hell out of somebody.

What they found out was — everything that I’m telling you is true — so they were criminally charged, and [the police department] fired these guys. They got the nerve to be telling me and my client, “You’re good; we fired them.” What do you mean we’re good? This [dude’s] back is messed up. He can’t even move his mom around like he used to. It’s disgusting. These officers didn’t even get house arrest. They got nothing. They just lost their job. Percy, let me or you…[whoop] on somebody like that. Those are the three cases I’m currently [working] on.

Going back to your initial question — how do I take these cases? I take them [based on] the client and…the case facts. You can have the right case and the wrong client; you can have the right client and the wrong case. All three of these cases are disgusting and heartbreaking.

Nuclear-Powered Vessel Named Thor Could Be Next Generation Of Sea Travel

By Anamarija Brnjarchevska

A potential answer to a sustainable cruise ship industry has been announced in the shape of a nuclear-powered vessel named Thor.

Norway-based company Ulstein say the eye-catching 149m (489ft) replenishment, research and rescue ship concept is powered by a thorium Molten Salt Reactor (MSR) that can be used to recharge battery-driven cruise ships at sea.

This enables the vessel to operate as a mobile power/charging station for a new breed of battery driven cruise ships.

Ulstein claim Thor’s charging capacity has been scaled to satisfy the power needs of four expedition cruise ships simultaneously. Thor itself would never need to refuel. As such, the ship is intended to provide a blueprint for entirely self-sufficient vessels of the future.

“The vessel concept is capable of making the vision of zero-emission cruise operations a reality,” the firm states.

Ulstein believes the concept may be the missing piece of the zero emissions puzzle for a broad range of maritime and ocean industry applications.

To demonstrate its feasibility, Ulstein has also developed the Ulstein Sif concept, a 100m-long, 160 POB capacity, zero-emission expedition cruise ship. This Ice Class 1C vessel will run on next-generation batteries, utilising Thor to recharge while at sea.

Sif would accommodate up to 80 passengers and 80 crew, offering silent, zero-emission expedition cruises to remote areas, including Arctic and Antarctic waters.

Thor would feature helicopter pads, firefighting equipment, rescue booms, workboats, autonomous surface vehicles and airborne drones, cranes, laboratories, and a lecture lounge.

A potential answer to a sustainable cruise ship industry has been announced in the shape of a nuclear-powered vessel named Thor. (Dean Murray/Zenger)

“We have the goals, ambition and environmental imperative to switch to zero-emission operations, but, until now, we haven’t had the solution,” comments CEO Cathrine Kristiseter Marti, Ulstein. “We believe ‘Thor’ might be the answer we’ve been looking for. ‘Thor’ is essentially a floating, multi-purpose ‘power station’ that will enable a new battery revolution.”

“Expedition cruise ships operate in increasingly remote, and environmentally fragile, areas. At the same time, the industry faces growing pressure from diverse stakehZenger News to preserve nature as it is and ban the environmental impact of cruising. ‘Thor’ enables replenishment of energy and supplies on site, while also boasting the technology to facilitate rescue operations, as well as conducting research tasks. It is, in effect, a crucial piece of infrastructure to support sustainable and safer operations. ‘Thor’ literally has the power to change our entire industry,” states Marti.

Thorium has been identified as having huge potential for a maritime industry hunting for clean alternative fuels.

Ulstein explain: “MSRs are safe, efficient and operationally proven solutions that work by dissolving Thorium – an abundant, naturally occurring metal with low radioactivity – in liquid salt. The ensuing chain reaction heats the salt, producing steam to drive a turbine and create electricity.

A potential answer to a sustainable cruise ship industry has been announced in the shape of a nuclear-powered vessel named Thor. (Dean Murray/Zenger)

“Although developments on land are well documented, its potential for delivering clean maritime power has yet to be incorporated into a vessel design. Ulstein, famed for innovating the revolutionary X-BOW® design, has seen an opportunity to change that, potentially heralding a new dawn of clean power for cruise and maritime operations.”

Speaking about the suitability of Thorium MSRs as an energy source for maritime applications, Jan Emblemsvåg, Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, an expert in the field of Thorium and nuclear power generation, notes: “MSRs have enormous potential for enabling clean shipping. There is so much uncertainty over future fuels, but here we have an abundant energy source that, with the right approach, can be safe, much more efficient, cheaper, with a smaller environmental footprint than any existing alternative.”

“From my perspective, I see this as the most viable, and potentially the only credible, solution for a zero-emission fleet that can operate under commercial terms and cost levels. The ‘Thor’ concept is exactly the kind of innovation we need for sustainable success at sea.”

Both Thor and ‘Sif’ feature Ulstein’s eye-catching X-BOW® design, created for greater operability, comfort, operational functionality and fuel efficiency.

“Here we have two concepts in one to showcase a cleaner, safer and more sustainable way ahead for cruise ship owners and operators, not to mention maritime in general,” says Øyvind G. Kamsvåg, Chief Designer at Ulstein. ‘Thor’ and ‘Sif’ demonstrate what is possible when we approach challenges from a new direction.

“We have huge confidence in this solution and want to engage further in conversations about how we can enable the necessary changes the world demands”, adds Lars Ståle Skoge, Commercial Director at Ulstein Design & Solutions AS. “I’m excited to see where ‘Thor’ and ‘Sif’ can take us as we look to a zero emissions horizon.”

A woman has scooped an eye-watering GBP 1.6 million after buying a lottery scratchcard because she liked its design.

The winner – from Macomb County in the US state of Michigan – won USD 2 million (GBP 1.6 million) on Michigan Lottery’s Multiplier Spectacular instant game.

The 44-year-old winner – who wants to remain anonymous – said she had to “do a double-take” when she scratched the card and realized she had hit the jackpot.

The lucky lady asked for her prize to be paid in a single lump sum of around USD 1.2 million (GBP 957,192) instead of over 30 annuity payments for the full USD 2 million.

By Lee Bullen

A young couple has gone viral for using rock-paper-scissors to choose what to buy at a discount store for a romantic date night as the cost of living crisis hits people’s pockets.

Dylan Owens, also known online as ‘dylanowens84’, shared the clip on TikTok where it has gone viral with 1.2 million views.

He shared the video with the message: “Dollar Tree date night because we’re both poor and it was the [bomb emoji].”

Dylan included the hashtags ‘date night’, ‘couple’, and ‘food’.

The young couple organised their budget date night at Dollar Tree, a US discount store chain that offers products for as little as USD 1.

The budget company has reportedly seen their sales surge in the US and Canada since 2021.

In the footage, Dylan films a young woman, apparently his girlfriend who he tagged as ‘christinemariep19’, in the Dollar Tree store.

The young couple play several rounds of rock-paper-scissors to see who gets to choose the low-cost items to make up their evening meal.

Strong demand and scarce supply for key items such as cars are driving the increases with inflation up 7 per cent year-on-year in December.

The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates by half a percentage point on Tuesday for the first time in over 20 years as it stepped up the bid to curb inflation, giving Wall Street its best day in nearly two years.

America’s central bank also will start shrinking its USD 9 trillion balance sheet next month to bring down price growth in the US.

VIDEO: New Jumping Device Could Help Humans Spring Across Other Planets

0

A new jumping device could help humans spring across other planets. (Dean Murray/Zenger)

By Anamarija Brnjarchevska

A new jumping device could help humans spring across other planets while exploring.

Researchers say they have created a device that can out-jump any animal or mechanical machine either on earth or in space.

The jumper is capable of achieving the tallest height in earth gravity — roughly 100 feet (30 metres) — of any jumper to date, engineered or biological.

It has been developed by UC Santa Barbara engineering professor Elliot Hawkes and collaborators, who say it represents a fresh approach to the design of jumping devices and advances the understanding of jumping as a form of locomotion.

Applications for the innovation could see jumping robots able to get places where only flying robots currently reach. The benefits would also be more pronounced off Earth as well: Jumping robots could travel across the moon or planets efficiently.

“The motivation came from a scientific question,” said Hawkes, who as a roboticist seeks to understand the many possible methods for a machine to be able to navigate its environment. “We wanted to understand what the limits were on engineered jumpers.”

While there are centuries’ worth of studies on biological jumpers, and decades’ worth of research on mostly bio-inspired mechanical jumpers, he said, the two lines of inquiry have been kept somewhat separate.

“There hadn’t really been a study that compares and contrasts the two and how their limits are different — whether engineered jumpers are really limited to the same laws that biological jumpers are,” Hawkes said.

The study, published in the journal Nature, explains how the researchers took these insights and designed a jumper quite unlike biological jumpers — the size of its spring relative to its motor is nearly 100x greater than that found in animals. Further, they devised a new spring, seeking to maximise its energy storage per unit mass.

In their hybrid tension-compression spring, carbon-fibre compression bows are squashed while rubber bands are stretched by the pulling of a line wrapped around a motor-driven spindle. The team found that linking the outward-bending edges of the bows across the middle with rubber in tension also improved the spring’s strength.

A new jumping device could help humans spring across other planets. (Dean Murray/Zenger)

“Surprisingly, the rubber makes the compression bow-spring stronger,” Hawkes said. “You can compress the spring further without it breaking.”

The jumper is also designed to be lightweight, with a minimalistic latching mechanism to release the energy for the jump, and aerodynamic, with the legs folding in to minimize air drag during flight.

Altogether, these design features allow it to speed up from 0 to 60 mph in 9 meters per second — an acceleration force of 315g — and reach the roughly 100-foot height in the researchers’ demonstrations.

For motor-driven jumpers, this is “near the feasible limit of jump height with currently available materials,” according to the study.

This design and the ability to exceed the limits set by biological designs sets the stage for the reimagining of jumping as an efficient form of machine locomotion. Jumping robots could get places that only flying robots currently reach.

The benefits would be more pronounced off Earth as well: Jumping robots can travel across the moon or planets efficiently, without dealing with obstacles on the surface, while also accessing features and perspectives that can’t be reached by terrain-based robots.

“We calculated that the device should be able to clear 125 meters in height while jumping half of a kilometer forward on the moon,” said Hawkes, pointing out that gravity is 1/6 of that on Earth and that there is basically no air drag. “That would be one giant leap for engineered jumpers.”

Biological systems have long served as the first and best models for locomotion, and that has been especially true for jumping, defined by the researchers as a “movement created by forces applied to the ground by the jumper, while maintaining a constant mass.” Many engineered jumpers have focused on duplicating the designs provided by evolution, and to great effect.

But the elements that create a jump in a biological system can be limiting for engineered systems, said Charles Xaio, a Ph.D. candidate in Hawkes’ lab.

A new jumping device could help humans spring across other planets. (Dean Murray/Zenger)

“Biological systems can only jump with as much energy as they can produce in a single stroke of their muscle,” Xaio said. Thus, the system is limited in the amount of energy it can give to pushing the body off the ground, and the jumper can jump only so high.

But what if there was a way to increase the amount of energy available? For engineered jumpers there is: They are able to use motors that ratchet or rotate to take many strokes, multiplying the amount of energy they can store in their spring. The researchers termed this ability “work multiplication,” which can be found in engineered jumpers of all shapes and sizes.

“This difference between energy production in biological versus engineered jumpers means that the two should have very different designs to maximize jump height,” Xiao said. Animals should have a small spring — only enough to store the relatively small amount of energy produced by their single muscle stroke — and a large muscle mass. In contrast, engineered jumpers should have as large a spring as possible and a tiny motor.”

Research in this study was also conducted by Christopher Keeley and Matthew R. Begley at UCSB; Richard-Alexandre Peloquin and Morgan T. Pope at Disney Research, and Günter Niemeyer at Caltech.

Sensorium, a major metaverse developer, has announced a strategic alliance with the Humanity 2.0 Foundation, leveraging the latest artificial intelligence, virtual reality (VR) and non-fungible token (NFT) solutions.

An NFT is a digital property, such as an online article, image or video, that has been issued a unique identity, allowing it to be traded or sold.

Sensorium and Humanity 2.0 will collaborate on the creation of the world’s first VR and NFT gallery, which will house the Vatican’s art, content and academic projects.

The popularity of VR has grown steadily over the last few years, with more companies entering the market to grab a piece of the action. Combining this technology with virtual 3D spaces, or worlds, to form a metaverse has created new opportunities for both individuals and businesses to socialize, work, network and more.

“We look forward to working with Sensorium to investigate ways to democratize art, making it more broadly available to people around the world regardless of their socioeconomic and geographical limits,” said Father Philip Larrey, chairman of Humanity 2.0 and dean of philosophy at the Pontifical Lateran University in Vatican City. “The relationship with Sensorium takes this ambition a step further by providing us with cutting-edge technology.”

The Vatican is one of the world’s most popular art museums, with over 6 million visitors each year. Michelangelo, Raphael, Marc Chagall, Salvador Dalí, Paul Gauguin, Wassily Kandinsky, Vincent van Gogh and Pablo Picasso are among the painters represented in the collection, which includes almost 800 pieces by 250 foreign artists.

The museum, which dates back to the 16th century, houses priceless works of art spanning a range of movements from the Renaissance and classicism to post-impressionism and surrealism.

Sensorium Galaxy, meanwhile, is now in beta and set to launch later this year.

The platform will be accessible through the most commonly available interfaces to guarantee a genuinely open experience. Users can use VR headsets to achieve a complete sense of immersion, a PC to access an augmented reality experience or a mobile app to watch broadcasts, create unique non-player characters, or NPCs, and converse with them.

Global technology firm Sensorium is known for providing immersive experiences ranging from ultra-realistic virtual events featuring chart-topping artists such as David Guetta, Armin van Buuren and Steve Aoki to interactive games and meditation activities.

It employs veterans of the gaming and VR industries to create a massive digital environment in partnership with entertainment powerhouses such as Jay-Roc Z’s Nation and Yann Pissenem’s The Night League.

Humanity 2.0 is a nonprofit organization that uses leadership, media and technology to address barriers to humanity’s socioeconomic and cultural development.
