Major League Baseball will return to Birmingham on Friday for the 3rd Annual East‑West Classic on Juneteenth at historic Rickwood Field.
Along with the game, MLB is hosting two special youth events on June 18 and 19, including the official Pitch, Hit & Run Competition at Willie Mays Park and the MLB PLAYBALL Skills Camp at Rickwood Field, NSLM Youth Baseball affiliate Papa Jack Youth Baseball announced.
Young athletes will have opportunities to compete, learn from MLB staff, and gain access to the East‑West Classic game, complete with complimentary meal vouchers. The Juneteenth celebration will also feature a Home Run Derby at noon followed by the East‑West Classic at 1 p.m., showcasing teams led by CC Sabathia and Chris Young and featuring a lineup of former All‑Stars and World Series champions.
Space for youth activities is limited and offered on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and complimentary game tickets must be reserved by Wednesday, June 17 at 11:59 p.m. We encourage families to explore these opportunities and take part in an unforgettable weekend of baseball and community.

Join MLB’s PLAYBALL! Skills Camp at the legendary Rickwood Field. Parents drop off at 9 a.m. and come back to enjoy the festivities. After camp, all kids stay for the East-West Classic and receive complimentary meal vouchers! Shuttle buses provided from Rickwood Field to Legion Field after the game.
